Appellant was prosecuted for the offense of murder and convicted by a jury of the "lesser included offense" of voluntary manslaughter. The jury also found two enhancement paragraphs to be true, and appellants sentence was assessed at mandatory life imprisonment pursuant to V.T.C.A. Penal Code, ? 12.42(d), prior to amendment in 1983. The Dallas Court of Appeals affirmed the conviction in an unpublished opinion.
